Title:
Food Safety Quality Assurance Certification Workshop

Date/Time:

  • 04/01/6473 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Description:
Food Safety Quality Assurance is important to 4-H'ers enrolled in livestock projects. Those enrolled produce approximately 17 MILLION pounds of meat along with poultry and dairy products. Since the meat is for public consumption, 4-H'ers must do their best to ensure it is safe and wholesome to eat. The goal is to help 4-H'ers better understand their role in producing the safest food possible. All 4-H'ers exhibiting beef, bucket calf, swine, dairy cattle, goats (meat or dairy), sheep, rabbits and poultry at the fair are required to complete the Food Safety Quality Assurance Certification.
